I think the purpose of having complimenting movies with tvideo games is to make more money. Essentially, if a child plays a video game and they really like it. It is very likely that they will go see the movie. And some people may even buy th movie because it helps them with the game. By knowing what happened in the movie they can get through the boards faster and reach higher levels. This is just my theory.
